Locusts stay in the ground for thirteen years and then they dig out and climb up our trees in Tennessee and make the most obnoxious and droning noise that becomes completely overwhelming at times! You see they do it every single summer here. Yes, they are always reaching the appointed time for the ones born 13 years ago...every year. It is a regular part of summer in the southern USA. I have redeemed these hideously loud critters, by taking a mound of their "shells" that we have everywhere, and shooting pics of them which I then rotated and layered over themselves to unlock this magical pattern. *If you look close enough, you will find the bug parts!
